SUPPORTING OUR FUND RAISING EFFORTS

This site and fundraising efforts are independent of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and supported solely by friends of The Harper Beall Williams Memorial Fund. Through donated time, funds and web design hours, our goal is to maintain a central website for collecting non-tax deductible donations for the Memorial Fund. All net donation proceeds from this site are donated back to the Memorial Fund on a quarterly basis.

When individuals make suggested donation amounts to GoHeelsGoAmerica.com, they are eligible for one of the many products we have supporting our fundraising efforts. If you care to not receive a free-gift, you may also donate directly to our fundraising efforts by clicking the “Donate” button. We sincerely appreciate all contributions and please remember that this donation is not tax-deductible.

TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTIONS

You may make a tax deductible contribution to the The Harper Beall Williams Memorial Fund through the following methods:

Checks:

Gifts of cash are fully deductible up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income with a five-year carryover of the excess deduction. Checks should be payable to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and mailed to:

Online Contribution:

1. Visit: https://secure.dev.unc.edu/gift
2. In the top selection box located under the green text “Make Your Gift”, scroll down to the bottom of the options and select “Other”
3. Another selection box will activate. Select the option labeled “Other (Search Funds by clicking “Search Funds?)”
4. To the right of the selection box, click “Search Funds”
5. In the keywords box, type “The Harper Beall Williams Memorial Fund”, then click “Search”
6. The search results should appear with an option to select the Memorial Fund. Select the fund, which will then open a dialog box with an opportunity to enter a donation amount of your choice. Fill in the amount then click “Add to cart” at the bottom right of the dialog box.
7. After you have initiated your contribution, follow the resulting screens to add your Donor information.
